LAURIE MARSON - HOLLOWWARE

Inspired by Japanese shrines, this gracefully balanced teapot can actually be used (gently though please).  I fabricate it from a heavy gauge sterling silver so that it has a good weight in your hand.  It measures 5" x 3" x 3" and would be a lovely addition to a teapot lovers collection.  This piece is currently available.

Price:  $1,000                                                                                                 H1-1

Another teapot inspired by Japanese balance and design, this is also made of sterling silver.  It's curved handle is echoed in the handle of the top.  It measures 5" x 5" x 3". This teapot is currently on display and available in the silver section (upstairs) at the prestigious San Francisco store Gumps.

For a devoted wine lover, I have designed a very tasteful "tastevin".  It is made of a heavier gauge silver than that of the average tastevin that is sometimes seen hanging from a chain around a sommelier's neck (and is a lot more beautiful).  I guarantee that it will improve the experience of tasting a new wine.  The little cup measures 1" x 3" x 4".  Please allow 3 weeks lead time.

Price:  $400                                                                                                        H1-3

A softly undulating raised and patinated copper bowl with a silver rim nestles in your hand when not looking enticing on your shelf.  The surface is faceted by the planishing hammer marks and the hollows have been hammered with a different sized hammer resulting in a slightly different texture. It measures 2 1/2" x 4" x 4".  One of these is currently available.
