Laurie Marson Hollowware

I am a collector of shapes: in my sketchbook, on a bulletin board, in a pile of photos on my workbench and in my memory. They fascinate me. Sometimes a piece of my hollowware will begin with one of these forms. At other times, I will begin with the concept and then search for the shape that best expresses the idea. I work with the form, change it's balance, give it movement, and give it life. When I am finally satisfied, the shape belongs to me.
